Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Salah Clock (com.salahclock.app) handles information. The mobile app is designed to work without an account and without sending your prayer times or location to our servers.

What the app does with data

Prayer times are calculated on your device using the open-source adhan library from coordinates you choose (GPS or a city you pick). Settings such as calculation method, madhab, clock face, language, and alert preferences stay in local storage on the phone.

• Location is used only to compute prayer times and to label the city in the UI and alerts. It is not uploaded by the current app.
• Notifications are local (scheduled on the device). There is no push notification server.
• Widgets read a payload stored in an on-device App Group / shared preferences. That data does not leave the device.

Permissions

Depending on the platform, the app may ask for location (to set your city), notifications (for prayer alerts), and related system settings. You can refuse or later revoke these in system settings. The app still works with a manually chosen city.

This website

The public website is a marketing and legal site. If we later add analytics, accounts, or a backend (for example via Vercel or Supabase), this policy will be updated before those features collect personal data.

Children

Salah Clock is a general-purpose prayer-time tool. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through the current app.

Your rights

Because current app data lives on your device, you can delete it by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage. If you contact us, we will only hold what you choose to send in that message.

We will post updates on this page and change the “Last updated” date.
